Responsibilities

As a Crypto Electronic Trading Support Engineer at HRT, you will play a crucial role in managing our live trading environment and ensuring seamless operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Order Flow: Handling order flow from HRT’s trading desks
• ‍Trading Day Support: Ensure a smooth trading day by promptly responding to external market alerts and outages.
• ‍External Parties Liaison: Interface with exchanges and other external parties to provide trading support.
• SME: You will be the first line of defense when the inevitable happens, and the subject matter expert on recent changes to the production trading platform.

Requirements

To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Quantitative Background: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• UNIX Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of UNIX systems to navigate and troubleshoot trading platforms effectively.
• Scripting Proficiency: Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Bash to automate tasks and streamline processes.
• Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with developers and traders.
• Flexibility and Organization: Willingness to work a regular shifted schedule, including weekends and evenings. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Thriving in High-Pressure Environments: Excitement to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• ‍Crypto Enthusiasm: Strong interest in the crypto space, staying updated on digital assets trends in your spare time.
• ‍Series 7/57 Certification: Series 7/57 certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
