Position Overview

As a Junior Operations Analyst at Altana Wealth, you will report to the Head of Operations and play a crucial role in the day-to-day trade operations. This role involves managing various operational processes across client accounts, including trade booking, settlement, reconciliations, PnL calculations, and fee monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

• Joint responsibility for enhancing business profitability through operational improvements, including streamlining processes and establishing best execution guidelines.
• Providing real-time trade support to Investment Directors, Portfolio Managers, and Traders.
• Managing day-to-day issues and acting as the point of contact for Trading, Investment Management, Sales, and other functions.
• Maintaining and optimizing the company's operations infrastructure and implementing robust processes and controls.
• Trade booking and processing, including maintaining accurate data within the middle office system.
• Prioritizing, handling multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Daily P&L generation.
• Assisting the CFO with controlling monthly NAVs.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Preferably, experience in financial services, ideally gained in an asset management, wealth management, hedge fund, or investment banking environment. We also encourage ambitious graduates with a keen interest in finance, economics, and problem-solving to apply.
• Understanding of the operational aspects of asset/money movement and trading attributes of different investment products.
• Good knowledge of the full trade lifecycle.
• Exposure to multiple asset classes, particularly in Derivatives, CDS, Fixed Income, FX, and CFDs, is highly beneficial.
• A genuine passion for operations, finance, and technology, with excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Knowledge of trading systems, especially Bloomberg, Market Axess, etc.
• Strong numeracy and computer skills, including MS Excel, VBA, and SQL.
• A history of academic excellence.
